Biography
Tonia Mattu was a young, successful professional woman working in the sexy corporate world of sports media, making a good income and residing blocks from the beach in the highly acclaimed, most livable city in the world.
She was living what would appear to many as the perfect life. She was attending sold out sporting events, going away on all expense paid client trips, and being rewarded for her record-breaking sales with diamonds.
The only roadblock though, was that Tonia knew that she had more to experience in life than what she was living. She wanted to enhance her global network, circle of influence, and life adventures. She yearned for fresh stimulation – and she was bound to create it.
So she packed up, said her good-byes, and headed to the place where dreams are made of – New York City.
Upon arrival, her plan fell through and Tonia found herself without a job, living in a rodent swarmed walk-up, washing her hair with stove top heated water, and commuting to job interviews on an overcrowded, grimy subway. And she was inspired at last!
Tonia’s tenacious gumption got her in the doors of senior executives at all of the major media corporations – from NBC in Rockefeller Center to The New York Times in Times Square – and she was making her mark in the media Mecca of the world.
She stayed focused on her goal, true to her authenticity, and was overwhelmingly presented with multiple job offers – far beyond her wildest of dreams.
Juggling offers, negotiating contracts and meshing with her soon to be New York colleagues was simple for Tonia, however she couldn’t overcome Corporate America’s red tape – and eventually her options were limited. Did she give up?
