This is the story of a woman who’s life began at age 46 on July 13, 2007 when she entered a treatment center for addiction. It is the journey of discovering the lost child and the Divine Feminine hiding within.

Janette used the very hardships of life to bring her to a place where she was able to turn them into her saving grace. It was her passage to herself. This book will take you on the journey of her recovery from addiction to men, love, alcohol, drugs and the pits of hell, to finding love and joy of herself.

Take this pilgrimage with Janette as she discovers the very light shining within.

Biography

Janette Pink is a daughter, sister, auntie, mother, grandmother and friend. She is also a survivor and a recovering drug addict with 3 1/2 years clean. She has lived her life trying to figure out where she belonged and at the same time desperately seeking, longing and needing somewhere to belong. At age 46 she found where she belonged for the first time in her life in a meeting of Narcotics Anonymous.

Since she came into recovery in 2007 she has been tenacious and determined to heal herself and her life using a variety of spiritual modalities along with her 12 step program. She is an inspiration to everyone she meets, with her positive attitude and helpful spirit. She stayed in recovery houses until she was almost 2 yrs clean when she felt able to step out on her own. Since then she has been working part time at Embers in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver helping others in recovery and in less than fortunate situations. She volunteers, helps when and where she can, has been a cast member in the play “After Homelessness” with Headlines Theatre, doing 17 nights on stage and now is writing a book of her journey to inspire, educate and be of service to others.

As a recovering addict, especially being a woman in recovery for the first time where the success rate is low, Her story will educate, motivate, inspire and give people understanding about addiction, recovery and the process.
